Tax Subnission For 2007

It is time again for all Malaysian tax payers to submit tax returns to Inland Revenue Board to fulfill their noble duties as citizens of the nation.

In the past few years, it had been a frustration to the extreme to claim refunds from IRB for the tax overpaid. I personally had encountered nightmarish experiences of having accumulated refunds overdue for years.

I was not alone in going through the absurdity - in fact, the refund woe later became a nationwide concern.

Fortunately, IRB made encouraging progress in speeding up refunding the tax payers last year.

The DG of IRB promised last week to refund within a month of submission for those who opt e-filing.
