Halal - It Is Business

Halal simply refers to foods that are permissible for consumption by Muslims according to Islamic laws.
It is estimated that 70% of Muslims worldwide follow Halal standards and that the Global Halal Market is currently a USD 580billion industry.
So Halal foods is a huge market for industry players to tap. No wonder our minister put it in that catchiest way a few years back that Halal is business. The YB certainly made sense.
Our hotel (www.premierh.com ) has been certified to be serving Halal foods for more than 10 years. Initially the accreditation came from Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM) which is a Federal department.
The picture shows a sample copy of Halal certificate.

The Malay says kerja halal. It means a decent piece of job and that the salary comes because of the job and not any other piggy business.
