Why Go To Church?

Ho Hua sent it from faraway Australia for me to muse over the weekend. Share it with your friends if you like it. Personally I have been very much touched by the message.

If you're spiritually alive, you're going to love this!
If you're spiritually dead, you won't want to read it.
If you're spiritually curious, there is still hope!A Church goer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday. 'I've gone for 30 years now,' he wrote, 'and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them. So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all.'This started a real controversy in the 'Letters to the Editor' column. ; Much to the delight of the editor, itwent on for weeks until someone wrote this clincher:'I've been married for 30 years now. In that time my wife has cooked some 32,000 meals. But, for the life of me, I cannot recall the entire menu for a single one of those meals. But I do know this... They all nourished me and gave me the strength I needed to do my work. If my wife had not given me these meals, I would be physically dead today. Likewise, if I had not gone to church for nourishment, Iwould be spiritually dead today!'When you are DOWN to nothing....God is UP to something!Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible!
Thank God for our physical AND our spiritual nourishment! All right, now that you're done reading, send it on!!!
I think everyone should read this! When Satan is knocking at your door, simply say,
'Jesus, could you get that for
me...... while I forward this message to your children?'

It is wrong to say go to church because the church is a body of believers in Jesus Christ. It is only right to say go and worship God. Worshipping God is supposed to be nourishment for the soul, spirit and body of a believer. But many a time, many are just pew warmers, hallelujah Christians, dancing Christians, speaking in tongue Christians, sermon Christians and all types of Christians because once the worship is over, the personality, the character, the whole self changes back to being a sinner without Jesus Christ. Human beings survive on clamouflaging itself, pretending, manipulating. You may know the Bible inside and out just nobody’s business but people cannot see Jesus Christ in you. No wonder sinners spit when they see Christians. They have no respect for them. They have no regards for them. They treat them like bloody dirt. And if they do see Jesus Christ in you, you will be regarded as such a nice person that you will be stepped all over. If there is spiritual nourishment, Jesus Christ should shine out from the believer. If not, then it is as good as a walking dead person. Just because your parents are Christians, it does not make you as Christian as they are. As long as you do not know Jesus Christ, all your family members, your relatives, your friends can be Christians, you are still a living sinner.

Illuminating God, let your light shine through us so that others may clearly see and follow you. Amen

What are church going parents doing to their children ? The word church going is preferred because it is meaningless being known as Christian and yet there is nothing Christian about these parents or their kids. Probably it is wrong to expect perfectness in this imperfect sin ridden world. A lot of Sibuians are Christians. Born again. Not born again. They all carry with them the religion of Christianity. Including all the big people as well. Children from the so called Christian families are spoiled, indisciplined, uncivilized, rude, proud, egoistic, lack respect for others and lack respect for themselves. Again, it is stupid to expect the best from them because if they are the best, Jesus Christ does not have to die for their sins. If Christian parents think that they do not have a ministry, then they are dead wrong. If there is only one ministry available for them, it will be the ministry of teaching their children to walk the Lord’s way. Children must be taught to bear hardships, discipline, civilize, polite, humble, respect for others and respect for themselves. Jesus Christ bears all the hardships, is disciplined, is civilized, is polite, is humble, respects all and respects Himself.

Just add in some more. Many Chineses complain that the government help the Bumis and forget the non Bumis. When the government helps one or two non Bumis, these non Bumis must be grateful to God for giving them the golden opportunity and they must work hard to prove they are better workers. But some of these ungrateful non Bumis do not take the chance. These Chinese Christians disgrace their parents, disgrace God and the worse of all, they disgrace themselves. God should not have given them this opportunity. Instead He should have given to the ones who have been desiring for His blessings. Then again, God's chosen people have always been giving Him a big headache just by their unbelief.
