This newspaper clipping tells the readers that Rajang River is grumbling now like an old granny!I agree with the author. The silted up Rajang River and its muddy water tell us that this beautiful river is pretty sick now. When it overflows, it is grumbling to Sibuians about how pathetic it is now.
It is time for us to take good care of our mighty Rajang River!

If I am not mistaken the first photo with the bridal party is a photo by Soon Lee Guan and the flood was 13th Jan 1963.
The photo can be found in a booklet commemorating Soon Lee Guan's works throughout Sarawak. Unfortunately I only have a photocopy of that interesting commorative issue.
If I am wrong please let me know.
