And Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri is our Malaysian way of greeting to Muslims on this festive season.
Hari Raya Aidilfitri is a celebration by Muslims to mark the conclusion of Ramadan, the fasting month.
In Malaysia, it has long been a tradition for Muslims and other races to practise open-house during major festivals for friends and relatives to drop in for well-wishing visits.
This unique culture has fostered the racial harmony which is very much envied by other nations which face racial turmoil.
Yesterday, I took the day off to go on Hari Raya visiting to civil servants, corporate clients and our staff members. All in all, I called on 10 families to convey my well-wishing to them. Our traditional Malaysian warm hospitality was heartily felt.
When I popped in to visit Faridah at Kpg. Bahagia Jaya Teku, she was more than happy to receive me. Faridah was attached to Premier Hotel loyally for a long service. Ambitious as she was, she later chose to cross over to a greener pasture - Courts Mamoth Bhd. She is doing well in Courts as Credit Manager of Sibu Branch.
I took a group photo with Faridah and Awang, her hubby.
